Battery Life
Battery life is one of the make-or-break reasons when people buy new laptops. Obviously, nobody wants a laptop that needs to get juiced up only after a few hours of use.
Over the years, Acer has seen significant improvements in the battery life of its newer laptop models. 10 years ago, the average battery life of a standard Asus laptop was at 7 hours. Now, the latest versions can last up to 11 to 12 hours.
Asus, on the other hand, treats its laptop battery life components as one of its biggest selling points for customers. Asus has a history of manufacturing laptops with very long battery lives, most of which can last for around 13 to 14 hours. For smaller laptop models, the average battery life is at 8 hours, but Asus’ very own model can last for 10 hours and 45 minutes!
Verdict: This round goes to Asus for the unmatched longevity of its battery life.

The Acer Predator Triton 700 offers has a thin exterior with a 15.6 inch FHD screen and a 256GB M.2 SATA SSD storage allowance. It is considered a staple nowadays due to its portability as a GTX 1070 PC, but its only downside is that it has a glitchy touchpad. You may want to buy an external mouse if you want to have any chance of using the laptop with ease.
The Asus ROG Strix GL503VS-DH74 Scar Edition, on the other hand, offers the same screen size and the same 256 GB storage allowance. What sets the Strix GL503VS-DH74 apart from other brands is that it is extremely affordable and offers maximum gaming performance (largely thanks to its (GTX 1070 GPU).
Between the two, gamers still prefer Asus over Acer because, aside from being affordable, its features offer a better quality gaming experience.
