Who can apply?

Eligibility criteria are a bit on the tougher side for BITSAT. Considered to be the toughest entrance examination in the country, BITSAT makes sure to allow only above average students to sit for the examination.

Applicants must have minimum aggregate of 80 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 60 percent in each subject, in 10+2 examination or equivalent examination recognized by Central or State Board of India. It is also mandatory for applicants to have English as one of the main subjects in 10+2.

Another interesting thing about BITSAT is, unlike other entrance testes, a student is allowed to sit for the exam only twice. For BITSAT students who have passed their 12th standard examination in 2015 and those sitting for it in 2016 can submit application.

Structure of the Exam

BITSAT is a completely online examination.  The duration is three hours and the time is divided into four parts, covering Physics; Chemistry; English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning; and Mathematics. This exam features multiple choice answers format and is based on the NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class standard.

Many students who are not overtly familiar with online examinations can feel a bit uneasy while appearing for BITSAT. Thus it is advisable to practice online mock tests while preparing for BITSAT.
